If you see a warning

Maki isn't code-signed yet, so Windows and macOS may stop you the first time you open it. The file is the same one we build; you can check it against the SHA-256 above.

Windows: "Windows protected your PC"

  1. Click More info.
  2. Click Run anyway. The installer opens as usual.

Or skip the warning: install Maki from the Microsoft Store instead.

Mac: "Maki can't be opened" or "Apple could not verify"

  1. Open the .dmg and drag Maki into Applications.
  2. Open Maki once. When the warning appears, click Done.
  3. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to Maki, then confirm.

If macOS says Maki "is damaged", open Terminal and run xattr -cr /Applications/Maki.app, then open Maki again.
